Picture below shows the detail of the post. The top and bottom of the posts are made in a cone shape and transition into a straight round post with ebonized mahogany on both ends, triming upper and lower portions of the cones.

Above picture shows the room with the old mantel. Picture to the left shows the the custom mantel after installation. The new mantel is made from hondorus mahogany and leopard wood. The black rings are ebonizefd hondorus mahogany with a clear lacquer finish - all natural colors and no stains.
